This story begins when 4-year-old me first encountered a spinner rack of comic books at the local pharmacy. Even though I could not yet read, I was immediately in love. The dynamic pictures told a powerfully engaging story of excitement and adventure. I couldn’t look away. That moment began a life-long love of comic books and it shaped who I would be for the rest of my life: a story teller.

I’m a dad to 4 amazing kids, a husband, a workaholic and a lover of coffee. For over 20 years I have been a communicator in the corporate world, in education, for non-profits, in government contracting and, in the evenings, as a comic book style illustrator.

I will create visual and written communications that are truthful and positive. I will not create things that intentionally mislead, confuse, oppress or marginalize any portion of my potential audiences.

I will create visual and written communications that represent a sense of empathy for my audiences. I will strive to recognize all my potential audiences I have and thoughtfully consider their needs and what I can do to accommodate them.

I will create visual and written communications that reflect unwavering integrity. I will lead by example with my actions, words, tone, attitude and thoughtfulness in every interaction to express nothing but honorable, trustworthy intentions and follow-through.

I will create visual and written communications that are inclusive of all audiences in an unbiased way whenever possible. I will thoughtfully consider all potential users regardless of physical or cognitive ability, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, political viewpoint, and religious views.

I will be accountable for all the visual and written communications I create. When I make mistakes, I will own them, learn from them and make the experience a part of myself moving forward.
